Expectations
Examine your expectations. Often times it is expectations which cause us difficulty. If you are trying to live up to someone else's expectations, life can be difficult. What do you, yes YOU, want or need in your life. Maybe, you don't even know at this time.

    To help find out,

  • Sit quietly in a place where there are few distractions. If you are in a house full of people, wait until they go to bed. Or, get up before they do in the morning. Sit up straight with your shoulders back. Take deep breaths. You may want to play soothing music quietly in the background. Try to use music without words which uplifts you. Take a piece of paper and write your question at the top of the page. Ask yourself the question.

  • Write down what comes to your mind even if it does not seem important or relevant, or it may even seem impossible or silly. Write it down.
  • Do this over a period of time. A week, a month, however long you need. At the end of this time go back and read over your writings.
  • Develop you personal mission statement. A mission statement is what you wish to be, to accomplish, the end results. Many of the items you have written will be goals to helping you journey on the path of your personal mission.

People, places and events will pull at you, dragging you off course. That happens. Gently focus on what needs to be done and guide yourself back on the path. Simplicity and purpose are two great allies. When life becomes complicated the gentle balance is tipped.

When you are busy bustling through life, how often do you take time to take care of you, first? You owe it to yourself! If you do not take care of you, you will not be around to take care of those who need you the most.

How well do you take care of you. Check it out.

  • Take your lunch breaks. Your physical health is important. Lunch provides a stress break and chance to nourish your body.
  • Have a regular checkup from your doctor.
  • Go to the Dentist for regular cleanings and exams.
  • Plan time to do something you want to do even if once a week is all the time you have in your hectic schedule.
    How did you do?
